Shipping & delivery

How long will my order take to arrive?

Most orders arrive within 5–9 business days. Because many pieces ship direct from the artisan's workshop, timing depends on where they are based. Here is a rough guide:

Is shipping free?

Shipping is free on all orders above ₹999. For smaller orders, a flat ₹79 courier fee applies. Express delivery (2–3 days to metros) is available at checkout for ₹149.

Do you ship outside India?

Not yet. International shipping is something we are working toward carefully — we want to make sure artisans are paid fairly even after cross-border logistics. We will announce it when we are ready.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Once your order ships you will receive an SMS and email with a Delhivery or Shiprocket tracking link. Tracking usually goes live within 24 hours of pickup from the artisan.

Returns & exchanges

What is your return policy?

We offer a 7-day return window from the date of delivery. Items must be unused, unwashed, and in their original packaging. Once we receive the return and inspect it, your refund is processed within 5 business days to the original payment method — or as store credit within 2 days if you prefer.

The item I received is damaged. What do I do?

We are very sorry. Please photograph the damage and write to us at care@aarna.in within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a replacement at no cost — or a full refund if the item is out of stock.

Can I exchange for a different size or colour?

For clothing and textiles, yes. Initiate an exchange within 7 days and we will send a pickup label. Note that handloom pieces vary naturally in weave density and shade — this is expected and not a defect. If you have any doubts about sizing, write to us before ordering and we will measure the piece for you.

Which items cannot be returned?
  • Custom or personalised orders (name embroidery, custom dimensions)
  • Perishable goods (natural dye sachets, edible products)
  • Items that have been washed, worn, or altered
  • Sale items marked non-returnable at checkout

Product care

How do I care for handloom textiles?

Handloom fabrics reward gentle handling.

  • First wash: cold water, gentle detergent, separately
  • Machine wash: delicate cycle only, inside-out, mesh bag recommended
  • Do not bleach or tumble dry — lay flat in shade
  • Iron on reverse side, medium heat. Steam is fine
  • Store folded with a neem sachet to deter insects
How do I care for brass and brassware?

Brass develops a natural patina over time — many customers love this. If you prefer the bright original finish:

  • Wipe with a soft dry cloth after each use
  • Polish with lemon juice and salt paste; rinse and dry immediately
  • Avoid prolonged contact with water or acidic food
  • Do not put in the dishwasher — brass is hand-wash only
How do I care for terracotta?

Terracotta is porous. Before first use, soak in water for 20 minutes to season it.

  • Wash with warm water and a soft sponge — no harsh scrubbing pads
  • Do not use soap; it can seep into the pores
  • Dry fully before storing to prevent cracking
  • Not microwave or oven safe unless specifically stated on the product page

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major payment methods across India:

  • UPI — GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, any UPI app
  • Cards — Visa, Mastercard, RuPay (credit and debit)
  • Net banking — all major Indian banks
  • EMI — no-cost EMI on orders above ₹3,000 via Razorpay
  • Cash on Delivery (COD) — available for orders up to ₹5,000
Is my payment information secure?

All transactions go through Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. We never store your card details. Every checkout page is served over HTTPS with 256-bit encryption.

Can I use a gift card or store credit?

Yes. If you have a gift card code or store credit from a previous return, enter it in the discount field at checkout. Store credit does not expire. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
